Thermography is a type of printing process in which heat is used to raise an ink and polymer powder combination on paper, resulting in a smooth, raised lettering effect. Your invitation is printed using an ink that stays wet throughout the process, and then coated with a polymer powder that sticks to the ink. The excess powder is then vacuumed or shaken off for later use, and the invitation is put through an oven system and exposed to temperatures between 900 and 1300 degrees Fahrenheit. The result is a gorgeous and distinctive invitation with smooth raised lettering that everyone can see, feel, and appreciate! Thermography is a great alternative to the much more expensive engraving option as well!
