New Business Cards!

I absolutely love business cards, there's just something about the exchange of them that makes the interaction between two people so much more interesting. It also feels almost "traditional", in a good way of course, and I like the idea of keeping that sort of tradition alive and farther away from going extinct like many other paper items these days. That being said, after the recent re-brand I couldn't wait to get new ones ordered! After all, I'm in the "paper business" and my business cards should accurately represent what I do, right? I had so many ideas in my head and elements that I wanted to include, and the only trouble was trying to decide on a fun combination that would be compatible with letterpress printing and not be $10 per card! OK I might be exaggerating a little, but I finally decided to go with double thick, 600GSM bright white Crane Lettra cotton paper, foil-stamped with silver on one side, and 2 color letterpressed on the other, topped off with some subtle turquoise edge painting. Well, they finally arrived, and I just finished putting the finishing touches on them {sidenote - this was my first attempt at in-house edge painting by the way, and it went wonderfully, yay!!}.  Anyway, boy do they look good if I do say so myself! I normally don't like to brag, but I just love how they turned out. Take a look... photo-19photo-20photo-17photo-18

And while we're on the subject of evolving business cards, here's a couple designs that I've seen recently that I just couldn't help but be in awe of, or even laugh at. The creativity of some of these just blows me away. Check em out...

See, business cards can be fun!
